Calgary psych-pop wiz Ryan Bourne has been bringing his idiosyncratic touch to projects like Ghostkeeper, Sleepkit, Hair Control & Chad VanGaalen for over a decade. On 2023’s Plant City, Bourne recruited VanGaalen and Chris Dadge (Alvvays, CVG, Bug Incision) to co-produce a strutting garage pop odyssey with echoes of early McCartney, Brian Wilson, and contemporary movers like Drug Dealer and Father John Misty. The five-piece Plant City Band brings this dream to hazy, dazzling life.
