Who can be a member?

Alberta Music supports individuals at every stage of their career, offering a variety of programming, resources, support, and opportunities to help you succeed. Membership is open to artists, musicians, DJs, and creators across all genres. We also welcome producers, engineers, record labels, marketing professionals, festivals, agents, managers, photographers, and more.

How can Alberta Music help promote my music or event?

Alberta Music members with a new music release, upcoming event, or news can email us at enews@albertamusic.org and it will be considerd for inclusion in our bi-weekly member e-newsletter.

Members can tag us in their socials so we can re-post and help spread the word! @alberta_music

How do I book a career consultation with Alberta Music?

We offer 1 on 1 meetings with members to discuss anything about your music career (marketing, touring, grants, etc). To book a consultation email us at info@albertamusic.org

Can I put the Alberta Music logo on my poster, album, or other project?

The Alberta Music logo may only be used on projects that Alberta Music is directly funding, presenting, or officially partnering or sponsoring. If you're not sure, please get in touch at info@albertamusic.org

How can I get my song featured on the Alberta Music Spotify playlist?

Alberta Music members can simply email us at info@albertamusic.org for your song to be added!

How can I subscribe to the Alberta Music e-newsletter?

You are automatically signed up for our e-newsletter once you sign up as an Alberta Music member. You can also sign up here. Please let us know if you aren't receiving the enewsletter.

Can you include my new release in your e-newsletter?

Absolutely! Members receive preferential placement in the e-newsletter. Email us at enews@albertamusic.org with your release info. Please include a short write up about the release, a graphic, and a link of where to listen.

Can Alberta Music help me with applying for grants?

We can offer guidance on what grants may be available to you, resources and advice on writing grants, and can help review your grant application. Email info@albertamusic.org to ask any questions or book a meeting with us.

When does my membership expire?

Your membership is due for renewal once per year on the anniversary of the date you joined Alberta Music. You will receive an automatic email stating when your membership is close to expiring.

What is Backstage Pass?

Backstage Pass provides members with music industry education through Industry Information Sessions, Professional Development Workshops, Networking Events and Mixers. Keep an eye on our socials for upcoming sessions!

I can’t make the Backstage Pass session, will it be recorded?

Not all of our sessions are recorded and available afterwards, please email us at info@albertamusic.org prior to the session and we can let you know if it will be available.

How can I perform at an Alberta Music showcase?

Alberta Music produces local, national, and international showcase events and public performance events as part of our showcase & export  program. We distribute a call for submissions for most performance initiatives and selections are made by a jury. Keep an eye out for any showcase opportunities on our socials or website!
