‘Jairus Sharif is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, improviser, and producer. His work combines free improvisation, sound collage and live looping to create a liberation technology that deals with healing, self-understanding, and freedom of expression.

Sharif has generated a stream of recordings that forge connections between free jazz mysticism, noise, the blues, and hip-hop abstraction. Live performances offer a glimpse into an ongoing hermetic journey via contradictory statements that dwell beneath a blustery surface.’
