BIO/DESCRIPTION

Equal parts Link Wray, Ennio Morricone, and Johnny Ramone, Canadian guitarist Brent J.
Cooper has been serving up big-beat, no-bullshit, buzzsaw’n’twang instrumental Rock and Roll
since 1991. As leader of Huevos Rancheros, Cooper led the group through four studio records
and one live album, multiple tours, award winning videos, and one Juno Award (Canada’s
Grammy) nomination.
Famed BBC disc jockey John Peel considered Huevos Rancheros to be “the punk rock Shadows”
and had the band record one of his renowned “Peel Sessions.”
Cooper’s guitar and song writing can be found in several soundtracks, including a feature in
The Sopranos.
Since Huevos Rancheros dissolved, Cooper has guided The Ramblin’ Ambassadors through
three Mint Records (Vancouver, Canada) studio albums and a new Spanish E.P on Ghost
Highway Recordings (Madrid, Spain). The band has performed across Canada, as well as Spain
and Italy.
Canada’s Exclaim! Magazine calls The Ramblin’ Ambassadors “One of the best instrumental acts
around.”
