Biboye Onanuga

BIO/DESCRIPTION

Biboye Onanuga is a versatile drummer, imaginative composer, and passionate educator based in Edmonton. A recent MacEwan Music graduate, Biboye quickly became a sought-after player and has made contributions to the local community through series’ such as: New Standards, a weekly show+jam centred around improvisation, and [REJAZZ] by his band Good Information, which features the music of popular hip-hop artists in a jazz context.

After over 5 years of working with various organizations to provide accessible music-education programming, in 2023 Biboye transitioned to freelancing full-time and has since stepped into the role of Musician in Residence at the Edmonton Public Library for 2024-2025.
