ALBERTA MUSIC ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Alberta Music is pleased to announce that Cecilia Schlemm has joined the team and will take on the roles and responsibilities of program coordinator.

Cecilia joins Alberta Music after nearly two years with Inn from the Cold, an organization dedicated to helping Calgary’s most vulnerable families. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary and recently received a Digital Communications Certificate from Mount Royal University. Her previous experience in both the private and not-for-profit sectors has given her a unique skill-set to bring to her role at Alberta Music.
Cecilia’s love for music goes back as far as she can remember. She is an active performer in Alberta’s music community as the bass player for Calgary punks The Shiverettes and currently sits on the Femme Wave Feminist Arts Festival committee.

“We are pleased to welcome Cecilia to the Alberta Music team. Her enthusiasm and passion for music is infectious. She’s bringing a specific skill set to the organization that will add value to our team and our members,” says Carly Klassen executive director of Alberta Music.

Cecilia added, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join Alberta Music as the Program Coordinator. I look forward to working with the team, membership, and board members to support Alberta’s vibrant music community.”

Cecilia Schlemm will begin as program coordinator in our south office in Studio Bell, Home of the National Music Centre, on July 10, 2017.
