The fifth annual Block Party celebrates the supporters and Edmonton community that surrounds the Ronald McDonald House. The event this year will be held on June 25th, 2017 and goes from 11:00am until 5:00pm. It will feature a variety of performers, free activities, entertainment and food for families, and the chance to learn more about the Ronald McDonald House through games and education. This year we are welcoming several high-profile emcees and sponsors who are anxious to show their support and help teach children about philanthropy. This festival-type event draws upwards of 10,000 attendees.

"The Dungarees have a definitive musical mandate; Take the undeniable lyrical styling, twangy telecaster and steel guitar that they love from classic country, and inject it with harmony, intensity and pop sensibility.
The Dungarees have performed at marquee festivals including Boots and Hearts, the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree, Country Thunder, Dauphin CountryFest and SunFest. Gracing arena stages, the band has proudly opened as direct support for Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert and Dwight Yoakam, on tour in October 2016.
Their current single, I’m Down, reached number 51 on the Top 100 Billboard Country chart and is in heavy rotation nation-wide on commercial country and satellite radio.
The Dungarees took home 1st place in 2016 Project Wild. They won “Country Artist of the Year” at the 2015 Edmonton Music Awards, and both Darrek Anderson and Ben Shillabeer received All-Star Band nominations at the Canadian Country Music Awards.
The band was most recently nominated for ""Group of The Year"" at the 2015 and 2016 Alberta Country Music Awards, and was shortlisted for numerous 2016 CCMA’s, including Group of The Year."
"2017 is a big year for Martin Kerr. Building his career from the streets, one passer-by at a time, he now has a local following of thousands and is able to put on his own shows at major venues.
After selling out the 1800-capacity Winspear Centre, his next step is opening for Sarah McLachlan at the 20,000-seat Rogers Place, where he will release his new album, Not in Stores.
Martin's anthemic, modern folk connects with listeners of all ages. With just a guitar or with a full band, his brilliant storytelling and soaring vocals captivate any audience. "
