Yongo is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter, and audio engineer who masterfully fuses pop, R&B, and afrobeat.

A lifelong musician who began singing and playing instruments as a child, he later backed his natural creativity with formal training at the Metalworks Institute.

Over a nine-year career in live sound, recording, and mixing, Yongo has served as a live audio engineer for global superstars like Joeboy and Chike, operating at premium venues ranging from The Alcove Centre for the Arts to Palace Theatre and Calgary’s massive Scotiabank Saddledome.

As a performer, Yongo focuses heavily on storytelling and audience connection. He recently kicked off his in-motion “Nights with Yongo” concert series, pulling a vibrant crowd of 170 people for his debut edition at Toronto’s historic El Mocambo—the same stage that once hosted icons like The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi and U2.
