Wheat Halo, Indie Folk-Noir from AB, Canada.
Making a departure from, or maybe running parallel to (whatever) their Alt Classic Country roots, Wheat Halo chooses a collective ensemble approach to make their new Indie Alt Folk Noir album. “The music is our focus, so the songs can become bigger than the people playing them.” Long time band mates Tanyss Nixi, Mitch Diesel and Scott Lingley remain at the core of the project. A host of talented musicians contribute to the new album: Isho Gunn, Rebecca and Ryan Anderson of F&M, Lealand Grauwiler, Jason Kodie, Jason Colvin, John Dymianiw, Pete Turland, Clayton Yates (Toronto, ON), Jimmy Bowskill (Toronto, ON.) and Justin Perkins. To be released September 27, 2024 at The Aviary in Edmonton, AB.
