Taylor Lang

BIO/DESCRIPTION
A professional writer by trade and lifelong multi-instrumentalist, Taylor Lang delivers stories and music in a seldom-seen, genre-bending fusion of folk and fingerstyle techniques.
Influenced by artists as sonically far apart as Dan Mangan, Regina Spektor, Jon Gomm, Pink Floyd, and Durry, he sharpened his playing and performances over more than a decade in bands – first with award-winning Celtic grunge rockers Crack the Lens, and then as the frontman of Blaeser, a folk-rock trio based in Calgary. With those, he played a series of festivals across western Canada before COVID shook up his creative life. Now, after successfully completing the 2023 Artist Entrepreneur West program from Canada’s Music Incubator, he’s fully embarking as a solo singer/songwriter – with a new production team and a new EP on the horizon.
“When you hear [his] music…you know from the very first chord that you’re in for something special.” — Taron Cochrane, CBC Saskatchewan
