Scott Cook is an Edmonton-based, tirelessly traveling songwriter and storyteller who’s spent most of his time on the road in Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia since 2007. He’s independently released five albums along the way, and is currently touring in support of his 2015 release, Scott Cook and the Long Weekends Go Long. His previous release, One More Time Around, charted on Earshot, Roots Music Report, the Folk DJ charts and the Euro Americana charts, and was nominated for a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award, with the first single “Pass It Along” winning the folk and acoustic category in the 2013 UK Songwriting Contest. Cook performs alone, accompanying himself with fingerstyle guitar and clawhammer banjo, with his acoustic trio The Second Chances, or with his seven-piece electric band The Long Weekends.
