BIO/DESCRIPTION
Porch Swing Entertainment is an Alberta-based artist management company with clients stretching across Canada. In addition to artist management duties for Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and JUNO nominated country artist Adam Gregory, the current roster includes triple JUNO nominated singer-songwriter Don Amero and Celtic Americana duo The Doll Sisters, the 2015 Edmonton Folk Festival Emerging Artist of the Year. PSE also offers artist management consulting, grant writing/coaching and project management, and teaches workshops on grant writing and DIY management. Laurie Brown (Artist Manager) – With a professional designation in “Music Business – Artist Management” from Berklee College of Music, and having completed the Canada’s Music Incubator’s ten-week Artist Manager Program in Toronto, Laurie brings a wealth of industry knowledge, funding and showcasing experience, and organizational skills to the company. She has been a juror for FACTOR and Alberta Music and for other industry related competitions and events such as Project Wild, The Road to Big Valley and Road to Indie Week Alberta.
