Patrick James Duffy
Patrick James Duffy has been an internationally acclaimed speaker and facilitator for over 30 years. Over the course of his career, he has woven his artistic gifts into his work by co-authoring the book Pathway to Freedom (1997) and by co-producing two films: the AMPIA-nominated The Moon Project (2007) and Above and Beyond (2008).
At age 54, Patrick started on his musical journey and began to play guitar and sing for the first time. He was deeply inspired by the performances of Tom Petty and Steve Winwood at a concert held in Edmonton in 2014. A believer in the power of music to inspire action, he was an organizer of FireAid—a concert benefiting the community of Fort MacMurray—in 2016.
Patrick’s preferred songwriting style is classic rock. He wrote and performed three songs on his debut EP Random Acts (2018) and 10 new songs on the upcoming album Missing Peace, to be released in March 2019. He performs and collaborates with numerous Edmonton musicians in a band using the Runway 22 banner. He is currently working on an album for release in late 2019. Patrick and his family have resided in Edmonton since 1984.
