Markus Sommer is a country music singer-songwriter. He’s been writing and playing music since the age of 13, at 17 he joined the Canadian Army Reserves with the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada (RHFC). After leaving the infantry he attended Oklahoma Horseshoeing school and rode saddle broncs across much of Canada and the Eastern states in the CCA, , LRA, IPRA and ORA.
His debut solo album “True Sounds of the West” reflects his journey and love of the western lifestyle. With songs of gun slingers, horse shoeing, pun-intended break ups, and all things equine. True Sounds of the West is for lovers of traditional country and alt-country alike.
Markus Sommer is an independent artist, full-time AFA Certified Farrier and currently resides in central Alberta.
