Lily Monaghan

BIO/DESCRIPTION

Hailing from the Canadian Prairies of Alberta, Lily Monaghan is a folk/country fusion singer/songwriter with a passion and talent for writing vulnerable songs with memorable lyrics. Her strong and recognizable voice creates a unique contrast over her folk-pop arrangements, often leaving audiences drawing similarities to artists such as Adele, Lake Street Dive, and Brandi Carlile. Since her debut release in 2022 (“introspection”), Monaghan has performed on many notable stages including Winnipeg Folk Festival (2023, 2024), Edmonton Folk Festival (2024), Celtic Connections (Glasgow, Uk 2025), Westival (Pembrokeshire, Wales 2025), and Pigeon Lake Music Festival (2025).

Described as having a ‘wise beyond her years sound’ (Edmonton Journal, 2023), Monaghan is one to watch in the Canadian music community with a special talent for cultivating a vulnerable and intimate performance experience. Monaghan’s performances are raw, emotional, and above all – memorable. Since September of 2024, Monaghan has been simultaneously releasing new music and studying her Masters in Music Industries Studies in Glasgow, UK, with a thesis in Gender inequality in Edmonton, Alberta’s live music industry. Monaghan has since embarked on her first European tour early 2026 with locations including Germany, Sweden, Austria and Belgium.
