Laundry Week is a rock trio formed in 2018, during the cold month of January, in an attempt to bring a new heat to the local music scene. Consisting of Daniel Blade, Shea Iles, and primary songwriter; Charles Pickard. They’re influenced by post-punk sounds such as The Talking Heads, The Smiths and Joy Division and early 2000’s indie rock groups like The Strokes and The Arctic Monkeys. Laundry Week uses the writing process to cathartically wash their minds from thoughts of loss and loneliness and throw those ideas into a spin cycle of groovy, danceable rock beats. Turning thoughts of solitary into a source of connection and community of same minded people. They are currently working on a 5 song EP with hopes of releasing it for your listening pleasure by summer 2018.
