Laundry Week

BIO/DESCRIPTION

Laundry Week is a rock trio formed in early 2018, in an attempt to bring a new flavour to the local music scene. They blend alternative, post-punk, and art rock sounds with unique chord progressions and strong melodic ideas. Creating high-powered rock songs with energy to spare. Taking influence from bands such as The Smiths, Joy Division, The Strokes and Green Day, Laundry Week uses the writing process to scrub thoughts of loss and loneliness away and throw those ideas into a spin cycle of danceable rock beats. The band features Daniel Blade on bass, Shea Iles on drums and Charles Pickard on guitar and vocals.

Laundry Week released their first 4 track EP on July 13th, 2018. It includes their single “Lost Lover” which was first featured on Grade School Records’ “Show & Tell” compilation record in April of 2018; it was described as “infectiously poppy” by Canadian music blog Grayowl Point.
