BIO/DESCRIPTION
4’ 11” Nova Scotia born singer/songwriter/musician Keeley Russell, is best known for her powerhouse vocal performances & bold personality. She strives to pen the most authentic art by drawing inspiration from real events in her life. Keeley is an artist with true potential to cross borders as Canada’s next country-pop star.
Keeley has worked with top industry professionals throughout her musical journey, including Marty Dodson & Simon Reid and the late Rockabilly Hall of Famer Jim Pierce. She has a close working relationship with Calgary’s Industry Person of the Year 2020, Grant Howarth. Keeley has been regularly working with Grant, since March 2021.
Keeley released her first independent single Losing Game to streaming platforms January 2022. Her single has been featured on The Raven 89.2 Edmonton radio station in January 2022, as well as For McMurray’s Mix radio in February 2022. As of October 2022, she inked her first recording contract under Mike Foss’ Kulinary Records and has subsequently released her debut single Drunk October which now has over 75,000 streams on Spotify. Keeley has since released over 9 singles; Her single “Forever” landed a distribution deal with Howard Rosen Productions, INC and she has also obtained a publishing deal with Calgary’s Royalty Music Publishing Inc.
Keeley’s single “I Promise You” won the “Love Wins Film Festival” 2023 and was invited to play it live in LA May 2024.
On September 24, 2023 Keeley took home the Calgary Music Award for Pop Recording of The Year for Drunk October. She has released 10 singles and has over 380,000 total streams on Spotify.
Keeley attended the ARTS program in L.A and took home two trophies and a scholarship in December 2023.
Keeley has worked with L.A producer Eric Sanicola who has produced hits for One Direction, Jennifer Lopez, Bishop Briggs and many more.
May 5, 2024 Keeley took home second runner up at CMTC in Toronto; With 7 callbacks including scouts such as Farley Flex, Michael Jay & RedOne Management.
September 2024 she completed a 10 day trip to Music City, where she was working closely with songwriters Marty Dodson, Clay Mills, Elizabeth Ecker as well as NSAI members Kris Crepeau, Ralston Wells, Kyle Whitaker, etc. She will be returning to Nashville January 2025 to play the local writers rounds at The Commodore & The Stillery, etc.
