Jessie Bird

BIO/DESCRIPTION
Jessie Bird is a captivating country-folk singer-songwriter from Camrose, Alberta, whose soul-stirring performances and deeply personal storytelling have drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris.
A former Top 100 finalist on Canadian Idol Season 4, Jessie has continued to make her mark across Alberta’s vibrant music scene. She’s performed live on CBC’s Provincial Playlist and was spotlighted as the local guest artist on CFCW’s “Heartstrings and Honkytonks” tour, sharing the stage with country legend George Fox.
She’s become a familiar face at premiere venues and festivals-headlining at Camrose’s historic Bailey Theatre, performing with School of Song at the 2024 Edmonton Folk Fest before an audience of 20,000, and opening for acts like Eric Kane, The Hearts, and Dirt Road Angels. Jessie has also collaborated on stage with Ken Stead, Justin Sutton, Kaiya Kodie, Lily Monaghan, John Hewitt, and Von Bieker.
Her debut single, “If This Is How Sorry Goes,” released in spring 2025, is a raw confession that “bleeds a story” and received praise for its stripped-down honesty. She followed it up with “Break It” in May, and her debut EP, The Way Love Goes, is set for release in August 2025, offering a heartfelt collection of songs about heartbreak, healing, and hope.
