Jake Mathews is a singer-songwriter originally from the northern mining town of Sudbury Ontario but has made his home in Calgary for the past 20 years. Jake has had the opportunity to take his blend of traditional and contemporary country music to international audiences with recent performances in Tokyo, London, Berlin and Australia. “Lyrically, I like to explore all aspects of life and emotions” says Jake, “and as a musician I aspire to create something meaningful”. Whether it’s a high-energy uptempo song or an emotional or inspiring ballad, Jake believes in the connection between an artist and the listener and always strives for a powerful and sincere performance.
