Glenn Gray Biography
Glenn Gray is a professional guitar player, songwriter, teacher and recording artist. Glenn’s passion for the guitar started at an early age heavily influenced by the guitar stylings of BB King and Albert King. After many years of playing electric rock and blues throughout Alberta and Western Canada, Glenn expanded his styles and is now singing and performing original and traditional fingerstyle acoustic guitar.
Glenn successfully released two solo fingerpicking albums in 2015 “The Old Strathcona Rag and Roll” featuring original and standard fingerstyle guitar/ vocals and an instrumental album “Just Pickin’” with original arrangements of popular songs. Glenn’s solo release in 2016 “Five Bucks a Nail” is an all original blues album featuring songs of love, loss and hope with humorous anecdotes. Glenn’s 2017 release “Still Pickin’ is the followup to the acoustic fingerpicking styles of “Just Pickin'” Glenn released a special instrumental fingerstyle guitar Christmas CD in 2018 “12 Songs of Christmas”. Since that time he has been busy working on more projects as well as performances. Glenn has also written 7 books including a book on music harmony entitled Gray’s Handbook of Harmony.
