Edmonton-based singer/songwriter Dominique Adams takes genres such as folk, Americana, and soul and weaves them together to create a fresh and unique sound. She has an affinity for life’s complexity and simple beauty effortlessly heard within the contour of her warm, soulful voice and guitar.
Having just released her debut EP in February, Dominique looks eagerly to a not-so-distant future of playing these songs for those with whom they resonate. It is a timely release, exploring themes of loss and love, and of time and space all interwoven into a work influenced by the likes of Laura Marling, Lianne la Havas, and Joni Mitchell. These songs pay tribute to a year of unknowns and coming out on the other side a little wiser, a little stronger.
