Dahlia Wakefield

BIO/DESCRIPTION

A ‘little bit country and a whole lot of rock and roll’ describes powerhouse singer-songwriter Dahlia Wakefield. She is an Edmonton-based singer/songwriter/performer who is a member of the bands “Dahlia and The Villains”, the “Dirt Road Angels”, Heart Tribute band “BRIGADE”, as well as one half of “The Dahlia & Alan Duo” and many more side projects including recently performing with country rocker Stirling John. Dahlia has recorded and released three solo albums and three singles, as well as four albums, and many videos and singles with the “Dirt Road Angels”. Graduating with Distinction from the music program at Grant MacEwan University will always be a highlight in her life where she made many friends, including some of her current band mates.

Dahlia, a high ranking finalist in several international songwriting contests with her some of her original songs which are available on all streaming platforms, is excited for her latest musical endeavor – working on her brand new solo album, starting with the single called “You Don’t Get To Win”, which she released in June 2020. When Dahlia isn’t performing with her various bands and at retirement homes, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and teaching vocals and beginner piano at various locations, including online. Music is Dahlia’s passion and she looks forward to a lifetime of making music.
