Cold Little Crow
Cold Little Crow’s roots grow from snow to sky as a songwriting, storytelling venture of Christina Renee. Raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, her late teens saw her leave the territory to study music and pad her musical resume as a vocalist and front-person for a number of projects; notably Calgary alternative rock group ‘Implicate Order.’ Over the years, her solo offerings have been performed under a number of monikers, though the songs themselves – somber, minor key with a touch of swaying folk – have always had a unique character. Mid-2018 brought a strong focus to one outlet; Cold Little Crow. In the time since, the songs have grown to include other members dedicated to complimenting what’s already on the table. Cold Little Crow’s acoustic melodies are now built upon by electric leads, mandolin and a solid rhythm section, comprised of musicians, friends and those you can share a drink with.
With a recently released 3-song EP built around warm acoustic tones, some Telecaster twang, smoky vocals and minimalist percussion, as well as a few notable shows and recognitions, Cold Little Crow has a beginning, but these are only the first few pages to a much larger story.
