BIO/DESCRIPTION
Winner of the 2018 YYC Music Award for “Blues Recording of the Year” for her single “Crooner Sing To Me,” Carly Reirson is eager to share her music with the world. Carly released her debut EP “Fantasy” in 2016 and was nominated for “Female Artist of the Year” and “Blues Recording of the Year” at the 2017 YYC Music Awards.
Carly has quickly captivated her audience with her soaring melodies and honest lyrics. Born and raised just outside of Leduc, Alberta, Carly’s musical journey started at a young age and took off when she discovered the worlds of blues and jazz. In 2008, Carly attended Grant MacEwan University for Vocal Performance in Music. In 2014, she attended Prairie College, focusing on her songwriting under the direction of Juno Award winning songwriter, Brian Doerksen, where she graduated with her debut EP. Whether it is love or heartache, Carly’s picturesque lyrics take you on a journey through the world of human emotions. Her natural ability and passion for music can be experienced through her smooth, yet edgy voice.
Carly is currently living in Calgary, Alberta, continuing to write, tour and share her story in the hopes that she can remind those around her that they are never alone.
