Cara Lianne McLeod

BIO/DESCRIPTION

Cara Lianne McLeod is crafting a dynamic and multifaceted career across a wide variety of genres including jazz, classical and pop. Recently, she co-founded the trio McLeod, Bowman & Bray, whose debut performance at Edmonton’s Yardbird Suite earned rave reviews, and an invitation for future performances. Her most current solo project is a work in progress, creating a new show, which weaves stories about love’s journey, set to music from jazz to classical. She’s also been writing and recording in Edmonton and Toronto, with fresh singles, “The Dream” and “Do You Really See Me”, being released soon.

Cara’s passion for music began in her youth with choral singing and country music, later finding success in opera, including performances from Rome to Edmonton, in concert and recital settings. A versatile and vibrant artist, Cara spent two decades immersed primarily in classical music, and now through many twists and turns, she’s expanded her repertoire to include pop, jazz and blues. As her performing and recording experience expands, Cara continues to be a sought-after teacher, presenter and adjudicator.
