Buddy Elliot is an Americana-folk artist based in Calgary, Alberta. Raised in an orchard family outside of Kelowna in Lake Country, BC, Elliot’s songs are equal parts heartbreak and hope.
Inspired by songwriters like Dolly Parton, John Prine, and Lori McKenna, Elliot’s story songs ground societal issues in real-life observations.
Her debut single “When a Man Cries,” (2020) is a fresh perspective on gender and masculinity.
“It’s a celebration of male vulnerability,” says Elliot. “I love getting a glimpse behind the walls people put up.”
