The Fifth Annual Songwriting Camp returns for professional songwriters in Alberta July 8-10, 2019! Alberta Music will be at The Audio Department in Edmonton to conduct a four-day songwriting camp. Nine artists will be selected and organized into groups to collaborate on two to three demo-ready songs. The camp will also provide an opportunity to network and establish permanent collaborative partnerships. We are thrilled to have Mike Plume and Nuela Charles as songwriting mentors, and a Keynote speaker TBA.

The Audio Department is a music recording studio in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at 6916 – 82ave. Founded by Kerry McGowan and managed by Terry Tran, the studio comprises of a large tracking room with 2 isolation rooms. The control room is outfitted with the best in boutique and vintage recording equipment.

*Open to ALL GENRES of music
*Up to two band members (the primary songwriters) may attend if the band is selected
*Meals are provided throughout the day, but bring snacks
*Transportation to and from the studio is not provided

– Must be a current Alberta Music member
– Must agree to be photographed/videotaped
– Must be willing to sign co-writing agreements specific to each song
– All ages
