Apply for Alberta Focus, a program that includes an Alberta Music Showcase and one-on-one meetings with international delegates!

The Alberta Focus showcase puts Alberta’s finest, export-ready artists in front of international music industry professionals from the US, Australia, Germany, and markets across the UK. This showcase is an excellent opportunity for Alberta Music members to build on their networks here at home and also with the international community.

Five (5) export ready artists will be selected to participate in a showcase in Calgary on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 and one-on-one meetings with international delegates on Monday, January 31st, 2022.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:
Have a current or upcoming release (demo / EP / full-length) within 2020-2022
Be export-ready (able to capitalize on opportunities in Canada and internationally)
Be an Alberta Music member and current resident of Alberta
Be available on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 and Monday, January 31st, 2022 to perform, attend meetings and networking events in Calgary, AB
The safety of all involved is our priority and all guidelines and restrictions from local health authorities and performance spaces will be communicated and strictly followed.

Submissions will be evaluated by an external jury based on:

Creative submission
Export readiness and plan
Rationale for attending the showcase
Previous export experience / history

This is a Pre-BreakOut West event; Artists do NOT need to be accepted into BreakOut West to apply.
