In their summer 2018 mixtape, Project Goonda Part 1: Trapistan, their sound fuses the stylings of trap, the Dirty South, and house. With amped up performances and an irreplaceable energy, Cartel Madras put on an unforgettable show and throw a party that can’t be missed. Goonda Rap has arrived.

The Royal Foundry is an upbeat Alternative band from Edmonton, AB. In 2017 they released their debut album “Lost In Your Head” which has gone on to have three singles peak at Top-30 on Alt-Rock Radio across Canada. Their latest single “Don’t Know” pulls them into a new and exciting direction with fuzzed out guitars, catchy horn riffs and punchy drums. “The production is crisp, layered, full of tight, hard hitting drums, unique sonic samples and never ending drive. It’s easy to imagine that in a decade or two from now that any track on this album will push the volume up and soak a sun filled drive with joyful nostalgia.” – BEATROUTE (Lost In Your Head)
Saved By Vinyl Showcase: Thursday, October 18th, 9:00 PM Location: The Carleton
Calgary’s clamor rock couple Miesha and The Spanks are wild with a touchy underbelly. Steadfast. In any case, with a solid craving for something new for the street. What’s more, wherever they meander: uproarious, shake, and roll. Envision Karen O in Jack White’s place on right on time White Stripes. Then again, Joan Jett fronting The Hives with a loading measurement of force pop tunefulness.

Astral Swans is the main project of acclaimed Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Swann.
