Edmonton Music Prize 2018 – Submissions Open!

The Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA) and Alberta Music, in collaboration with the Edmonton Arts Council, are pleased to announce the 2018 Edmonton Film Prize & Edmonton Music Prize. The calls for entries are now open!

The Edmonton Film Prize launched in 2012 offering an annual cash prize. This year will be one $10,000 prize plus two $1,000 runner up prizes to celebrate excellence in Edmonton’s screen-based community. The Edmonton Film Prize was created by the Edmonton Arts Council and is administered by AMPIA.

Bill Evans, Executive Director of AMPIA says: “AMPIA is once again excited to be partnering with Alberta Music to present the Edmonton Film & Music Prizes. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of Edmonton’s talented filmmakers and musicians.”

Launched in 2013, the Edmonton Music Prize awards three cash prizes, one $10,000 and two $1,000 runner up prizes. 2017 winners included Dan Davidson, Nuela Charles, and 100 Mile House.

The submission deadline is Friday, November 2, 2018, at 4pm. To submit for the Film Prize, review the guidelines and fill out the application form here. Digital screeners can be uploaded here.
