ALBERTA MUSIC ANNOUNCES NEW COMMUNICATIONS AND ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Alberta Music is pleased to announce that Olivia Street has joined the team and will take on the roles and responsibilities of communications and administrative coordinator.

Olivia joins Alberta Music after five years as an independent marketing consultant, and as the booking coordinator for the Mercury Room in Edmonton. She holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of Alberta, and is an active member of the music community, leading two Edmonton-based bands: alternative rock band King of Foxes, as well as a cover band, Vegas Wives. Her previous experience in the music industry as a self-managed artist, as well as her experience as a digital marketer, make her a welcome addition to our team.

Olivia states, “Nothing gives me greater joy than than helping people acquire the skills and resources to further their careers and develop themselves as artists and community members. I have a positive vision of music in Alberta, which I sincerely hope is infectious to those around me. I am enthusiastic about this opportunity to advocate for Alberta’s music community in a meaningful way.”

Olivia will begin as communications coordinator in our north office in Edmonton, on Aug 1, 2017.
