ALBERTA MUSIC WELCOMES ITS NEW PROGRAM MANAGER

Alberta Music is pleased to announce that Jesse Northey, has joined the team and will take on the roles and responsibilities of program manager.

Jesse is a well-known and active participant in the Alberta music community as a performer, recording engineer, producer and consultant. with a Bachelor of Music (Digital Audio Arts) from the University of Lethbridge, Jesse has spent his entire life and career in the Alberta music industry. Most recently, Jesse returned from eight weeks in Toronto where he was enrolled in Canada’s Music Incubator Music Management program. This experience and training, combined with his professional musical perspective in grant-writing, tour-booking, radio mail-outs, and performance has given him the skills to be a great mentor to Alberta artists and the members of the industry.

Jesse has also graced the performance stage as the front-man and writer for the touring indie rock band Jesse and the Dandelions and as a member of Consilience, Tyler Butler and his Handsome Friends, Ketamines, Unwed Mothers, Doug Hoyer, and more.

“Jesse’s enthusiasm, experience and skill set will be of great value to Alberta Music and its membership. We’re excited to welcome him to the team,” says Carly Klassen, executive director of Alberta Music.

Jesse added, “I am thrilled to be joining the Alberta Music team and can’t wait to start working with the members and Board of Directors. There are a lot of exciting opportunities happening in Alberta and I am eager to get started.”

Jesse Northey will begin as program manager on March 8, 2017.
