Alberta Music Welcomes its NEW Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Alberta Music is pleased to announce the appointment of Carly Klassen as its new executive director.
Carly Klassen moves into the executive director position after completing seven years at Alberta Music with various responsibilities, the latest as manager of programs and operations. Prior to her tenure at Alberta Music, Carly worked for Stony Plain Records, Spirit River Distribution and for concert promoters such as Brent Oliver Presents and JCL Productions. She is a member of the Western Canadian Music Alliance international marketing committee and is the Regional Education coordinator for FACTOR.
“With Carly’s many years of industry experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of our members, we know she will be an asset to the Alberta Music Industry Association and its membership”, says Aimée Hill, board chair.
States Ms. Klassen, “I am thrilled to take on the role of executive director – to proudly represent the association, our membership and lead this incredible team at Alberta Music. I look forward to carrying on and expanding on the great work done by our out-going executive director, Chris Wynters – it continues to be an exciting time in the Alberta music industry.”
Carly will begin as executive director when the Alberta Music office re-opens after the holiday season on January 3.
