In today’s DIY world, artists need to be more savvy in developing their careers. Bob D’Eith brings his 25 years of experience in the music industry, sharing his knowledge in various topics within music business and entertainment law, key elements of artist development, including songwriting, live performance, showcasing and touring, social media, marketing and promotion and maximizing available revenue streams.
Bob D’Eith has been involved in the music industry for twenty-five years in various capacities: author (“A Career in Music: the other 12 step program”), entertainment lawyer (D’Eith & Company), two time JUNO Award nominated recording artist (Rymes with Orange and Mythos), studio owner, label and music publisher (Adagio Music Inc.).
For fourteen years (2001-2015), Bob was the CEO and executive director of the Music BC Industry Association, a non-profit society dedicated to the development of music and the music industry in BC. Music BC administered the award winning Peak Performance Project and is also the FACTOR affiliated office for BC.
Bob has served on the boards of CIMA (Canadian Independent Music Association) and CCMIA (Canadian Council of Music Industry Associations). Bob was the Past-President and founding director of the Western Canadian Music Alliance (BreakOut West and WCMAs). He has also served on FACTOR’s National Advisory Board (past chair). Bob was the executive chair of the Host Committee for the Vancouver 2009 JUNO Awards.
