B Hartling, Canadian Beats
B Hartling is a music journalist with a lifelong passion for music and supporting independent artists. Getting her start in the late 1990's as a reviewer for a print magazine focused on the goth/industrial music scene. She later went on to start her own goth music site which she ran for 5 years before shutting down to focus on other areas of the music industry. Throughout the years, she has been worked in various roles including DJ, booking agent and tour manager working with indie bands. Currently she serves as the Contest & Promotions Manager for the music site Canadian Beats as well as acting as assistant editor and is a contributing writer and photographer for Canadian Beats and several other music blogs.
Roddy Campbell, Penguin Eggs Magazine
Roddy Campbell is the editor and publisher of Penguin Eggs – the only magazine now left in North America that focuses exclusively on folk, roots and world music. He has written for numerous daily newspapers such as the Globe and Mail, The Edmonton Journal, The Halifax Daily News ... as well as international magazines like fRoots, Sing Out! and Dirty Linen. Campbell co-founded the Canadian Folk Music Awards, wrote Playing The Field: The History of The Edmonton Folk Festival, juried numerous Juno Awards, and comments on folk music for BBC Radio Scotland, CBC Radio and CKUA Radio.
Jess Seguire, Penelope PR

Colin Gallant, Beatroute Magazine
Colin has been an editor at BeatRoute Magazine, Western Canada’s premiere monthly arts and music publication, for more than two years, with a year of experience in its chief editorial role as the Music Editor. Colin has freelanced for other publications including FREQ Magazine, and has recently become the editor-in-chief of the Calgary Journal. In addition to editorial roles, Colin has experience on the other side of media business with communications and marketing experience with organizations such as Sled Island, the Calgary International Film Fest and MRG Concerts. He also sits on several programming juries in music and arts around Calgary, AB. Throughout his work, Colin strives to shine a light of developing and established talent throughout Western Canada and beyond, with an emphasis on strengthening bonds at a local level.
