In a culture that saturates young minds with concepts of self-worth based on external forces and situations, Sam Lundell, a 19-year old lyricist from rural Alberta, pushes back and pleads for lost souls to embrace the sacred beauty that lies within.
Sam's debut single "Everything" began as a simple story; a straightforward narrative of shattered dreams resulting in a desperate search, but has since been embraced as an expression of the foundational need for humanity to find truth and intrinsic value beyond our individual circumstances and outward appearances.
Lundell's passionate performance and lyricism has captured hearts and attention as his video was released mid July 2016 and a week later won the Storyhive Top Music Video Award, a residency scholarship to the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
As a classically trained violinist and pianist from the age of five, Sam is driven to musical excellence and clarity that explodes passionately through his vocal and instrumental solos. Everything’s simple soft rock arrangement glistens with angelic ambient guitar, blended with understated vocals and drums that build to the performance peak, driving home the core message of every individual’s God given value.
Sam credits his apparent boundless performance energy and joyful exuberance to the fact that he KNOWS how blessed he is and willingly accepts the accompanying responsibility. Lundell's desire is to intentionally inspire his generation by writing lyrics and melodies for all who need to be reminded that they are already equipped with "Everything" they need!
