As early as she could speak, Maddison has consistently expressed a clear vision... to become a respected singer, songwriter, and entertainer.
Miss Krebs now displays an uncanny, nuanced and very real sensibility for writing and singing in a vintage style comparable to the timeless classics created by legends of country music. She possesses a freakishly detailed awareness of a sound that hasn't been in the mainstream for 50 years!
Her vocal ability is first rate... and she has exceptional tone, colour, and sincerity. Her music and vocal delivery can evoke deep sorrowful heartache, and then on other songs, unbridled optimism.
The Calgary Herald says about her voice, “A clean, simple and classic tone that sounds as if it comes from country music’s beginnings.”
Before her debut record, these comparisons already had led to shows with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. She also performed Patsy Cline’s "Crazy" in the 2012 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show for over 200,000 people (20,000) each of the 11 nights!
Maddison’s stunning debut record “Your True Love” was released January 2013.
The record has opened many doors for her, and earned her appearances at a full slate of summer festivals in 2013 including performances at the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree, Wild Mountain Music Fest, the Spaghetti Western Music Festival and more.
Her buzz is building amongst some of the nation’s (and Nashville’s) top industry professionals. Maddison accepted an invite to perform at The Feldman Agency’s showcase at Canadian Music Week in Toronto, and will be showcasing at the 2014 Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, MO, USA.
The year ahead looks very promising for the young singer/songwriter. Maddison continues to perform in support of her debut record, and already has been writing and recording for her sophomore release.
Maddison Krebs is 16 years old and hails from Okotoks, Alberta, Canada.
